Regent Street Festival - An Indian Summer

Just because school is beginning, doesn't mean the party's over. London is in the thick of festival season, and this Sunday (Sept 2) Regent Street is hosting an Indian festival which will appeal to the children and adults alike. This traditionally over-populated (and sometimes frustrating) shopping district will be closed to traffic for the day - which is reason enough to pop over for a visit!

Some of the top events? A Taste of India, showcasing food from Goa to Delhi; a Goan beach with palm trees, sand (and hopefully sun) outside Hamleys; Indian dance, music and puppet shows for the kids; In-store entertainment at a number of high street stores, complete with fashion shows, competitions and special promotions (a personal fave is Indian head massages at Mamas and Papas and Godiva's coconut and chocolate dipping).

More kids events here.
