I made my first batch of English Toffee at Christmas last year. Stirring the sugar/butter mixture was a bit monotonous, but the end result yielded deliciousness!
You can find the recipe here. I substituted Cadbury chocolate for the semisweet it called for. Once the chocolate was smoothed out, some slivered almonds were sprinkled on top.
A lovely, festive candy (great to package nicely and give away!).
