Holland Park

Holland Park is considered to be one of the most romantic parks in London. It's most stunning in the milder months when the flowers are in bloom, but last Saturday's sunny, wintery morning proved to be fairly idyllc as well. It's always been one of my favourites.

Our usual stops include: the Adventure Playground, the Kyoto Garden (my favourite), the gardens and the Holland Park Cafe.  And, of course, no visit is complete without spotting the roaming peacocks. That one is a particular hit with our kids.

For a special treat, the Belvedere, which once earned some rave reviews, is also located on the grounds of Holland Park. A romantic park + a delicious meal = perfect night out.

And for the particularly covetous, a walk down Ilchester Place is always dreamy. The street borders the park and boasts large, immaculate red brick homes. I'd happily live there...
