On Saturday I needed a chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday (our dozens of Lemon Cream Cupcakes for the party the day before had vanished!). I scoured Martha Stewart for an easy, simple recipe and decided to try Busy Day Chocolate Cake.
Then I paired it with frosting from this sugar cookie recipe (omitting the almond flavouring) and voila, a delicious, delicious chocolate birthday cake (as requested by the birthday girl).
This recipe is definitely a keeper! I can't wait to make it again...
(p.s. In my oven, it only needed to cook for about 22 minutes ... versus the 35 it suggested)
