London snow, Kidsen and keeping kids warm

London snow near Euston Station yesterday. It was actually really enjoyable to be out and about in the snow. Hoping I feel this way come January. :)

Some note-worthy items:

-  The Kidsen Christmas Extravaganza is this Tuesday (7 Dec 2010), from 4-8.30pm. The Kensal Rise shop will be offering discounts, raffles, give-aways and some tasty treats. I'm hoping to stop by for a bit. Maybe I'll see you there?

- Perhaps it's time to invest in a sledge. Never knew I would need one in London, but with the first snowfall so early, it might be worth securing one now. Parliament Hill... here we come!

- Nearly 6,000 children in London will go without a warm jacket or a hot meal this holiday season--let alone a Christmas gift. Help keep them warm by donating £10 (the price of a coat) right here. Radio station Magic 105.4 and the charity Action for Children are hoping to raise enough money to buy 4,000 coats for these young people (£10 per coat). Full details.

(p.s. Check out the new Urban Mums' Bookshop! Some favourites for mums and kids alike!)
