Earlier this week my friend Madeline and I attended a Cake Pops class at The Make Lounge. Cake pops seem to be all the rage these days, from Starbucks to Selfridges, they are popping up (excuse the pun) everywhere!
Have you taken a class at The Make Lounge? A lovely, relaxed and creative environment, filled with lots of happy people. We were taught by the super talented cake sculptor, Louise Hill, of Love to Cake. (Louise also teaches another class I've had my eye on, the Cupcake decorating: Swirls, sparkles & roses.)
As for the little edibles... the cake pops were an instant hit with my kids. My daughter requested them for her birthday party and my son went to great bargaining lengths for the sheep cake pop!
They certainly win major points for cuteness, but when it comes to taste, I still think cupcakes have the edge. Doesn't mean we won't be re-creating these adorable little bites though. Their too much fun and far too cute!
