Chinatown in London

I'm still smiling about our visit to Chinatown last Saturday. Ever since our daughter learned about the Chinese New Year at school, she's been fascinated by all things associated with this culture--including London's very own Chinatown.

Turns out that visiting Chinatown is like visiting Beijing for a nearly 5-year-old. She was so excited to see the Chinese characters, taste the different foods and hear the language. As parents, it was truly heartwarming to witness her soak in this new culture.

Our visited ended with trip to the souvenir shop, where she picked out a pink parasol.  Her younger brother settled on a pair of black chopsticks. :)

Such a simple London activity, and yet one I highly recommend.

So much fun! I can just imagine your little girl's excitement being there.
I love visiting chinatowns when we travel. So far though, only SF, Oahu and NYC. It's our fave place to eat out. A pink parasol is so perfect and sweet, what a great choice!

I love Chinatown, we often go for dim sum and to get produce at the Chinese supermarket, my partner is half Chinese and likes to cook authentically!
