Reason #453 to love London...

There are many reasons why we love living in London. It might seem silly, but if I made a list of all the reasons, spotting the King's Troop parading through our local NW8 area might be one of them. It isn't everyday that school children to get to stop and watch a hundred horses pass by on their way to school... and in one of the world's capitol cities too. (It embodies another thing I love about London: the ability to live and thrive within your community in the midst of 7 million people...)

Sadly, the King's Troop is leaving the St John's Wood area after 200+ years and heading to Woolwich. I went with my son's class to say goodbye and send them off to the South London with good wishes. Here are some photos of the "goodbye parade". Taken with my phone:

(I really like these inside, documentary-style photos of the event from Oli Scarff, too.)
