London Olympics

It's amazing the London Olympics are finally here after so many years of preparation! Yesterday we went to two events—Beach volleyball at Horses Guard Parade and hockey at the Olympic Park in Stratford.

Beach volleyball was in a fabulous venue. Located just down the street from Buckingham Palace, there was such a fun atmosphere at this event. We definitely lucked out with the sun which only added to the beachy vibe. The London Eye and Big Ben were both in clear view too! We took our kids to this event and when they got antsy went for little walks for food and treats.

Later in the day, the kids stayed home and we went to the Olympic Park for hockey. We watched Team GB beat Argentina and then walked around the park, enjoying all the different flags, people and venues. If you don't have tickets to the Olympics, there are still some available. Just search by date or sporting event. I highly recommend it—such a fun energy in the air and a once in a lifetime opportunity. 

By the way, tube traffic and security were a breeze. Let's hope it stays that way!
