Gail's Kitchen, favourite lunch spot
I'm still thinking about the delicious lunch I enjoyed at Gail's Kitchen earlier this week. The restaurant is a new venture from my favourite London bakery, Gail's. So naturally, I had high expectations. Turns out that Gail's can do no wrong - everything we ordered was deliciously wholesome and packed with flavour. I can't wait to go back.
One of my favourite dishes was polenta chips with gorgonzola sauce. Before yesterday, I had never even fathomed such a combination. Now it might be one of my favourite things to eat. I pretty much inhaled it. Another course of lentils, beetroot and goat cheese on flatbread was a matter of simple, honest ingredients that I know and love, bursting with that Gail's touch of extra flavour and goodness. And for dessert, the eternal winning combination of freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies and milk... what's not to love?
I came away from the restaurant, trying to figure out when I could next return. It's my new favourite place for lunch!
p.s. I've read several reviews that mention the ice cream sandwich. I'll be trying that next time!
(I've written about Gail's bakery here. I haven't seen my favourite cookie there in a long time though... sad. I hope it hasn't disappeared!)
